You are already here. Now it matters to enter the job market at your real level — and build a path to stable status in the UK.
Not knowing how Ukrainian experience is perceived by UK employers
A CV written for the Ukrainian or European market — UK recruiters miss the value
Wanting to switch to a Skilled Worker Visa so as not to depend on humanitarian scheme extensions
Not knowing which roles and salaries qualify for Skilled Worker — and how to reach them
Unsure how visa status affects hiring, and what to tell employers
Feeling like starting from zero — even though the experience and skills are real and valuable
Right to work — employers must check it. Ukrainians on Homes for Ukraine and UPE have full right to work, no sponsorship needed
A UK-format CV — one column, no photo, with a Professional Summary
English — depends on the role. For technical roles, B2 is usually enough
Transferable skills — UK employers value experience, even from another country
For a Skilled Worker Visa: a licensed sponsor plus a salary from £41,700 (since 22 July 2025), or the going rate for the role if higher
CV gaps — relocation and settling in are easy to explain simply and honestly
AI tools can speed up your move into the UK market — if you use them carefully:
Junior
£25–35k (depends on the field)
Middle
£38–55k
Senior
£60–90k+
The Skilled Worker Visa requires a salary from £41,700 (since 22 July 2025) — mid and senior tech roles are usually above this
Holders of Homes for Ukraine, Ukraine Family Scheme, Ukraine Extension Scheme and Ukraine Permission Extension (UPE) permission have full right to work in the UK — no employer sponsorship needed. Switching to a Skilled Worker Visa requires a licensed sponsor employer and a qualifying salary (from £41,700 since 22 July 2025, or the going rate for the role if higher). After 5 years on Skilled Worker, Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) and then British citizenship become possible. This is career guidance, not immigration advice — for your specific case, consult an immigration solicitor.
I work with Ukrainians in the UK — helping you enter the job market with the right CV and strategy, and build a path to a Skilled Worker Visa and permanent residence. Sessions in English or Russian.
